Weird question but I&#8217;ve been really confused upset and ashamed because I feel like I&#8217;m somehow doing something wrong for doing the right thing. Tyler remains quite straight edge, and he claimed that it was because of one bad experience with an edible, which left him crying. Granted, he doesn\u2019t seem to be against anyone else using it; it just isn\u2019t for him. But there are many people who do not celebrate the good times by getting drunk or high and this includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/ecosoberhouse.com\/article\/rappers-that-struggle-with-addiction\/\">rappers who don&#8217;t smoke or drink<\/a> few rappers, believe it or not. For the most part, they are people who abstain from every vice that other people indulge in. Straight edge (or sXe) is a subculture and subgenre of hardcore punk whose adherents refrain from using alcohol, tobacco, and other recreational drugs. Some say it\u2019s not addictive whatsoever, and others say that it has a habitual addiction, but not as much of a chemical addiction as harder drugs. Cannabis has not had as much research done on it as it should, and we\u2019re not here to answer whether or not it is addictive. Like many, the artist struggled during the Covid pandemic, and during lockdown he relapsed. However, he cleaned up, and now works with CLEAN Cause \u2013 a sparkling yerba mate brand, who donate towards supporting addiction recovery. His high energy, colorful personality and fan demographic (who indulges in drugs quite heavily) doesn&#8217;t stop him from speaking on his commitment to the straight edge lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Some of these artists have never done drugs in their life, while others choose to abstain from smoking or drinking because of near-death experiences they&#8217;ve had. Though some listeners may disagree, these artists have continually shown that they&#8217;re more than capable of making quality music without the enhancement of drugs.
